Meta Expands Wearables Lineup with Muse AI, VR Glasses, and Audio Eyewear
Meta Platforms is pivoting Reality Labs hardware toward artificial intelligence wearables and spatial computing following major product unveilings at its Connect conference. The company revealed lightweight, 100-gram Meta VR Glasses priced at $1,299.99, scheduled to ship in spring 2027 with 5K micro-OLED displays and IMAX Enhanced certification. Through its partnership with EssilorLuxottica, Meta introduced Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 frames, camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio models starting at $349, and the Muse Charm wearable. The expansion comes as Reality Labs operating losses reached $85 billion since late 2020, with management expecting annual losses to peak around 2025–2026 levels.
