Meta and Dolby Expand Partnership Across Smart Glasses, VR Headsets, and Apps

Meta Platforms and Dolby Laboratories have expanded their partnership to integrate Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision across Meta's hardware and software ecosystem. Unveiled at the Meta Connect conference, Meta AI smart glasses become the first global consumer device capable of capturing audio in Dolby Atmos for sharing on Instagram. Meta also confirmed its upcoming next-generation virtual reality headset will support both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision when launched next year. Additionally, Meta licensed Dolby's video distribution patent program across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Meta shares were trading around $744.10 following the announcement.
