The new Up/Down contracts allow traders to take short-term directional views settled via an order-book matching engine. Winning shares pay out a fixed 1 USDC while losing shares expire worthless. All positions require 100% upfront USDC collateral, eliminating leverage and liquidation risks. The rollout is supported by zero-knowledge circuit updates settled on Ethereum, while access remains restricted for United States persons and entities.
