Lido Plans Validator Migration to 0x02 Credentials to Consolidate Ethereum Infrastructure

Lido Finance plans to migrate over 265,000 Ethereum validators to 0x02 compounding credentials via its Curated Module v2. The transition targets consolidating over 8 million ETH into approximately 4,000 active validators, boosting the share of staked Ether secured by compounding validators from 32.06% to 52.21%. Across the broader ecosystem, 40% of staked ETH now operates on 0x02 setups following the Pectra upgrade and EIP-7251, which increased maximum effective balances from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. Full network consolidation is projected to cut total validators from roughly 880,000 to 628,000, decreasing attestation traffic by about 29% per epoch.
