Lido Launches Direct Layer-2 ETH Staking Across Four Networks via Chainlink CCIP

Lido has launched direct, single-transaction Ethereum staking across four Layer 2 networks: Arbitrum, Base, Linea, and Optimism. Users can deposit ETH and receive wrapped staked ETH directly on their origin network, eliminating manual bridging to the Ethereum mainnet. The architecture relies on Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol for cross-chain transfers and local liquidity pool replenishment. Lido retains its standard fee structure of 10% of staking rewards, with 90% distributed to users. The protocol holds between 8.4 million and 9.7 million ETH in staked assets, representing roughly 19% to 21% of the liquid staking market.
