Lido Launches Permissionless 0x02 Community Staking Module With 2,048 ETH Validator Limits

Liquid staking protocol Lido has launched its permissionless 0x02 Community Staking Module, allowing independent node operators to run Ethereum validators with effective balances up to 2,048 ETH. Operators must provide a 32 ETH bond for their first validator key and 30 ETH for subsequent keys, achieving an estimated capital efficiency multiplier of 2.18x to 2.26x over solo staking. Lido launched the module with an initial allocation capped at 0.01% of Lido Core total value locked, covering roughly 32 seed deposits, while Ethereum's validator entry queue reached 1,295,748 ETH as of October 25.
