Liberty Star expands Arizona footprint with new claims, now largest non-major holding

Liberty Star Minerals (OTCQB: LBSR) said April 21, 2026 it staked 13 additional mineral exploration permits covering about 11 sq. miles, bringing its Arizona footprint to roughly 45 sq. miles — the largest independent position in the state. The expansion consolidates targets in the Tombstone Mining District (including Earp Ridge and Red Rock Mines) identified by mapping, rock sampling and IP surveying and covers multi‑commodity targets: gold, copper, molybdenum and other critical minerals. Management says the consolidated district-scale position improves the company’s ability to attract a mining partner and advance exploration. Market impact is primarily company‑/asset‑specific: the move strengthens Liberty Star’s strategic optionality and could boost investor interest in the junior and in long‑term copper/gold supply narratives, but it does not immediately affect global commodity supply or prices.
