LayerZero Commits 10,000 ETH Split to DeFi United and Aave Liquidity Boost
LayerZero Labs pledged 10,000 ETH (~$23M) to the DeFi United recovery effort, allocating 5,000 ETH to the fund and 5,000 ETH to Aave liquidity while promoting the Omnichain Fungible Token standard. This follows April 27's surge past 132,000 ETH ($300M+) driven by Consensys/Joseph Lubin's 30,000 ETH, Stani Kulechov's 5,000 ETH, and Aave providers' proposed 25,000 ETH amid the $292M Kelp DAO exploit. Inflows target rsETH restoration, Aave bad debt reduction (TVL down to $20.3B from $32B), and DeFi TVL stabilization at $80B from $95B, easing ETH sell pressure and lifting sentiment.
