Lahontan to Drill Historic Santa Fe Heap Leach Pads for Residual Gold & Silver
Lahontan Gold announced it will begin sonic core drilling of four historic heap-leach (HL) pads at its Santa Fe Mine in Nevada to test for residual gold and silver that could be cheaply reprocessed. The 95-hole program (1,740 m) aims to convert existing data into an Inferred resource and potentially boost the project economics outlined in the 2025 PEA. Historic production and published NI 43-101 resources (Indicated 1,539,000 oz AuEq; Inferred 411,000 oz AuEq) and specified metal-price/recovery assumptions underpin the case. Market impact: successful confirmation could increase Lahontan’s resource base, improve project cash-flow potential and heighten investor interest in gold exposure.
