Kuehne+Nagel Signs Long-term Strategic Collaboration With Amazon

Swiss transport and logistics giant Kuehne+Nagel International AG has entered into a multi-year strategic collaboration with Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), including its cloud division Amazon Web Services (AWS). The alliance aims to support future business expansion, enhance supply chain resilience, and improve operational scalability and infrastructure lifecycle management spanning construction, equipment deployment, ongoing maintenance, and expansion projects. Under the terms of the agreement, the collaboration is supported by a call option on existing Kuehne+Nagel shares. This option will settle in cash or shares at Amazon's discretion, with vesting linked directly to commercial milestones and performance metrics over a timeline of up to seven years. Kuehne+Nagel has also arranged third-party hedging transactions to support the equity arrangement. Following the announcement, Amazon shares saw positive momentum, trading up approximately 0.88% at $255.94 in overnight activity on Nasdaq. The deal highlights Amazon's ongoing efforts to optimize its extensive global logistics and supply chain capabilities through deep corporate integrations.
