Kraken Launches Cash-Settled Bitcoin and Ether Options for Eligible European Clients

Kraken has launched cash-settled Bitcoin and Ether options trading on Kraken Pro for eligible European Economic Area clients. The European-style, dollar-settled contracts are accessible via existing derivatives accounts on web and mobile platforms, subject to an appropriateness assessment. The options offer weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semiannual expiries, using a request-for-quote system that accommodates multi-leg strategies of up to five components. Default portfolio margining allows traders to utilize over 30 currencies across a unified pool shared with Kraken's futures products, operating under a CySEC license and the EU's MiCA framework.
