Kodiak AI, Inc. has announced a strategic collaboration with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to implement AMD EPYC Series processors into its seventh-generation autonomous truck platform. Kodiak represents the first company to deploy these advanced server-grade CPUs into a hardware architecture dedicated to driverless trucking. The high-performance processors will handle latency-sensitive workloads including the aggregation and preprocessing of massive volumes of sensor data from LiDAR, cameras, and radars, as well as critical path-planning computations.
