KelpDAO has recovered 73,700 ETH through DeFi United pledges topping $70M from Aave, Lido (2,500 stETH ~$5.8M), EtherFi (5,000 ETH), and others, reducing the rsETH backing shortfall from 163,200 ETH to 89,500 ETH after the $292M April 18 exploit. The attacker laundered 75,700 ETH (~$175M) via THORChain despite Arbitrum freezing 30,766 ETH (~$71M), while Lido paused its EarnETH vault (9% rsETH exposure) and activated $3M protection. Ethereum sank below $2,300, down 3%, as Aave led recovery efforts to curb DeFi contagion amid ongoing liquidity stress.
