Kelp DAO Hacker Launders $220M, Leaves Only $1.7M Traceable

On June 1 2026 the Kelp DAO attacker completed laundering roughly $220 million of the original $293 million exploit through Wasabi swaps into Bitcoin and Tornado Cash returns to Ethereum. Only $1.7 million remains traceable while Arbitrum Security Council froze $71 million that a U.S. court and governance vote moved into an Aave-controlled multisig ahead of a New York ownership hearing. The incident prompted Kelp, Solv and Tydro to migrate rsETH infrastructure from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP and triggered wider oracle reviews even as May crypto exploit losses fell 90 percent to $68.3 million.
