Kazakhstan Targets 1.5-2.2M Tonnes BTC Oil Exports in 2026

Kazakhstan plans to ramp up crude exports through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline to 1.5–2.2 million tonnes in 2026, up from roughly 1.2 million tonnes in 2025. January–April 2026 shipments already total 471,000 tonnes, with April flows reaching 125,000 tonnes, supported by a new five-year transit deal between KazMunayGas and SOCAR. The strategy reduces reliance on Russian routes like CPC while increasing volumes delivered to Ceyhan, though port, tanker and pipeline constraints could cap actual deliveries near the lower end of the range.
