Kalshi stock futures plan targets Tesla and Apple shares - Bloomberg

Kalshi Inc. is preparing to submit a regulatory application to introduce single-stock perpetual futures in the United States, targeting major equities including Tesla Inc., Apple Inc., and Nvidia Corp. According to a Bloomberg report citing Kalshi co-founder and CEO Tarek Mansour, the New York-based exchange intends to file its application with both the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The platform is pursuing joint oversight of these never-expiring contracts as security futures products. If approved by regulatory authorities, the initiative would establish the first single-stock perpetual futures market in the United States. Perpetual contracts, popular in overseas crypto trading, allow traders to speculate on asset prices without expiration dates. Kalshi also aims to expand its commodity offering into agricultural contracts. This strategic move highlights rising competition from emerging derivative and event-contract trading platforms challenging traditional exchange operators with novel retail-accessible products under federal oversight.
