Kalshi 15-Minute Gold Contracts Surpass Ether in Trading Volume and Fees
Kalshi's 15-minute gold prediction markets have overtaken Ethereum contracts following an August launch. In September, gold contracts logged 542 million trades and approximately $5 million in estimated fees, comfortably outpacing Ether's 318 million contracts and $2.6 million in fees. Bitcoin remained the dominant platform asset, generating roughly $60.4 million in September fees. Across the broader exchange, total commodities volume reached $400 million within seven months, more than four times crypto volume over the same duration. During the seven-day period ending October 5, short-duration financial markets generated $20.4 million in fees.
