Irish Authorities Transfer 500 Seized Collins Bitcoin Worth $41.5 Million to Coinbase

Irish authorities have transferred a fifth tranche of 500 Bitcoin, valued at roughly $41.5 million, from a dormant wallet tied to convicted drug dealer Clifton Collins to Coinbase Prime. The transaction brings the total recovered from Collins' 6,000 BTC fortune to 2,500 BTC, leaving approximately 3,500 BTC unmoved. Working alongside Europol, Ireland's Criminal Assets Bureau recovered the long-locked funds after private keys hidden in a fishing-rod case were discarded following Collins' 2017 arrest. The transfer follows previous 500 BTC batches moved in March, May, July, and August 2026.
