IREN Delivers Horizon 1 to Microsoft and Achieves NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud Status on GB300 NVL72

IREN announced that Horizon 1, the first of four planned 50MW AI cloud deployments at its Childress, Texas campus, has been delivered to and accepted by Microsoft. The company also said it achieved NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status on GB300 NVL72 after testing of its deployment, validating performance, reliability and scale for demanding AI workloads. The update reinforces IREN’s position as a vertically integrated AI infrastructure provider and supports its long-term cloud services agreement with Microsoft. Management highlighted the speed of execution and said the company is targeting 480MW of gross AI Cloud capacity in 2026 and 1.2GW in 2027. The news is strategically positive because it reduces execution risk on a major multi-year contract and strengthens IREN’s credibility with both Microsoft and NVIDIA, potentially supporting further contract wins and investor confidence in its AI cloud expansion.
