IonQ to Deploy Superion 256 Quantum System at NVIDIA Accelerated Research Center

IonQ is partnering with NVIDIA Corporation to deploy its Superion 256 quantum computing system at NVIDIA's Accelerated Quantum Research Center, scheduled for 2027. The installation represents the first on-premise quantum processing unit integrated into the center. Under the agreement, the hardware will connect to an NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 system via NVQLink and operate through the CUDA-Q platform for hybrid quantum-classical software development. The deployment announcement coincided with IonQ's demonstration of an end-to-end real-time quantum error correction decoder running on a single CPU, sending IonQ shares up 4.42% to close at $42.54.
