Hyperliquid MAU Jumps 21.8% to 220.8K Despite Sharp Crypto Selloff
On June 16, Hyperliquid reported monthly active users rising 21.8% to 220.8K over five weeks, extending the growth first detailed the prior day. The gains occurred while the broader crypto market lost roughly $440 billion in capitalization and Bitcoin plunged from $81,000 to a June 5 low of $59,000. Hyperliquid captured a record 56.31% of decentralized perpetuals volume and 7.6% of total perpetuals trading across both DEX and CEX venues, fueled by platform migration, volatility, HYPE buybacks, and HIP-3 market expansion. Analysts link further upside to easing geopolitical tensions after a U.S.-Iran peace deal.
