Innovative Dreams, a new Hollywood hybrid production studio backed by Amazon Web Services and AI firm Luma, is using virtual production, motion capture and multiple generative-AI tools to sharply cut time and cost for film and TV shoots. The startup says AWS provides the cloud and real-time AI infrastructure and Luma — valued at over $4 billion — supplies agent tools that integrate multiple generation services. Its first project, a three-episode series starring Ben Kingsley, was shot in one week on a virtual stage depicting 40 locations that traditionally would have taken five to six weeks and far higher costs.
