Hawker Operators Gain Access to High-Speed Starlink Connectivity Through Textron Aviation Customer Support Network

Textron Aviation Inc. has announced that SpaceX's Starlink high-speed, low-latency satellite internet connectivity is now available for Hawker 700, 800, and 900 series aircraft. The expansion comes following the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) issuance of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) developed by AeroMech, which includes the Starlink Aviation Performance Kit. Under this rollout, Hawker operators can schedule installations across North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and select international facilities. The Starlink system leverages Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to deliver broadband internet capabilities with download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, upload speeds reaching 100 Mbps, and latency as low as 20 ms over land, water, and remote regions. This deployment marks another step in the commercial adoption of SpaceX's aviation connectivity services within the business aviation market. It strengthens recurring aftermarket upgrade offerings for Textron's service network while extending Starlink's addressable in-flight connectivity customer base across existing aircraft fleets.
