Harworth, Microsoft Secure Planning Resolution For Leeds Data Centre Campus

Harworth and Microsoft secured planning consent from Leeds local planners for a hyperscale data centre campus at Skelton Grange, advancing the sale and development of two plots. The scheme includes ~500,000 sq ft across three data halls and ~160,000 sq ft of industrial & logistics space on adjoining land. Harworth previously sold a 27-acre Plot 1 to Microsoft for £51.2m (June 2024) and completion of Plot 2 is expected to bring an additional £53.2m. Harworth said the project could attract about £4 billion of inward investment and highlighted 0.8GW of powered land capacity for data‑intensive users.
