Google Unveils Gemini 3.8 Live With Live Avatar Capabilities

Google has officially introduced Gemini 3.8 Live featuring Live Avatar capabilities, combining synchronized speech synthesis with near real-time video generation to create visual conversational AI. The release follows the earlier rollout of Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking voice models supporting 97 languages. Alphabet is collaborating with enterprise partners including Salesforce, Genspark, and Lumeris to integrate these capabilities. To support expanding AI demand, Alphabet previously raised its 2026 capital expenditure guidance to between $195 billion and $205 billion following quarterly revenue of $119.8 billion.
