Google Expands SynthID Detector Globally as Apple Prepares Integration

Google has expanded its SynthID Detector tool globally, launching a dedicated public website to verify AI-generated images, audio, and video across multiple file formats. The standard is supported by industry partners including NVIDIA, OpenAI, and Kakao, with Apple reportedly planning to introduce support soon. SynthID has already embedded watermarks into over 180 billion images and videos alongside 240,000 years of audio content. Integrated features across Google Search, Gemini, and Chrome currently handle more than 1 million daily verification requests.
