Google DeepMind's Gemini 4 Argon Agents Complete Minecraft Autonomously in 27 Hours

Four autonomous Gemini 4 Argon AI agents defeated Minecraft's Ender Dragon in 27 hours and 14 minutes without human intervention. The achievement serves as a proof of concept for autonomous multi-agent coordination and long-horizon problem solving. During the survival run, the agents generated 63,313 lines of JavaScript code, executed 2,783 programs via Mineflayer, and recovered from 605 in-game deaths. The experiment required roughly 24,000 model calls, processing 1.35 billion input tokens and 16 million output tokens, with estimated API costs ranging between $520 and $1,040.
