Google DeepMind and Google Cloud Grant European Researchers Access to Frontier AI Models

Google DeepMind and Google Cloud have launched an initiative granting up to 200 European scientific researchers direct access to their advanced frontier artificial intelligence models. Under the program, Alphabet is also providing $3 million in cloud compute credits to support regional academic and scientific projects. Participating researchers will gain access to specialized proprietary tools including AlphaFold 3, WeatherNext, AlphaGenome, AlphaEvolve, and AlphaEarth Foundations to address complex challenges in areas such as molecular structure prediction, genomics, and extreme weather modeling.
