Goldman Sachs To Launch Bitcoin Income ETF

Goldman Sachs filed to launch a Bitcoin Premium Income ETF that would give investors exposure to Bitcoin while generating yield by selling options on Bitcoin-linked ETPs to collect premiums and cap upside. The actively managed product follows similar moves by BlackRock (which plans an iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF, ticker “BITA”) and comes a week after Morgan Stanley launched a spot Bitcoin ETF. The filing marks Goldman’s first direct crypto ETF push and signals competition expanding from spot Bitcoin products into income-generating, option-based structures that could appeal to yield-seeking investors and alter flows into spot ETFs. No launch date has been announced.
