Glassnode Triggers Altcoin Season Signal as Bitcoin Dominance Stalls Below 60%

Glassnode's Altcoin Cycle Signal reached an average of 81.25, crossing the 75 threshold into an altcoin season as Bitcoin dominance stalled at 59.7%. Bitcoin rose toward $86,000, triggering nearly $1 billion in liquidations and helping total crypto market capitalization reclaim $3 trillion. Simultaneously, total altcoin market capitalization expanded 33% since August 19 to between $1.17 trillion and $1.19 trillion, its highest level since late January. Institutional participation surged, with U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds attracting $999 million and $270 million in daily inflows, respectively.
