Galaxy Traces Automated Bitcoin OP_RETURN Bot Inscriptions to Historic Document Uploads

Galaxy Research identified an automated data-publishing bot dubbed Babel Scribe that is posting random-letter text strings to the Bitcoin blockchain via OP_RETURN outputs. Analysis of 562 messages over a three-week period revealed evenly distributed letter frequencies, pointing to automated testing rather than ciphers. The wallet cluster, which previously uploaded a 44,194-byte copy of the US Constitution on May 29, has scaled operations up to roughly 40 transactions daily across 31 transaction chains. The campaign utilized 3.33 million satoshis, spending 24% on miner fees while retaining the rest in change addresses.
