Franklin Templeton Files Dividend-to-Bitcoin ETFs as Yield Products Expand
Franklin Templeton filed on June 19 for two ETFs that automatically reinvest stock dividends into bitcoin, extending the wave of institutional product launches. The sequence began June 11 with BitGo’s OCC-supervised Lightning Earn, enabling institutions to earn native BTC routing fees via Amboss Rails. BlackRock followed on June 16 with the BITA covered-call ETF targeting 15–25% yields on Nasdaq, while Tether Wallet v1.4 added Lightning support on June 18. Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $2.10 billion in monthly outflows as BTC traded near $67,000, underscoring demand for regulated income strategies amid range-bound prices.
