Former Google Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt holds an estimated 1% personal equity stake in Anthropic, valued at around $10 billion based on the startup's latest $965 billion valuation. Schmidt originally invested tens of millions of dollars during Anthropic's 2021 Series A round, which valued the company at $461 million. The stake could reach up to $20 billion as Anthropic prepares for an IPO targeting between $1.5 trillion and $2.0 trillion. Following the reports, Alphabet shares gained 1.05% to $344.18, bringing its market capitalization to $4.21 trillion.
