Fold Sells 634 BTC at $71K, Shares Surge Over 160% After Debt Payoff
Fold Holdings sold 633.8 Bitcoin at an average $71,000 per coin on June 10, using $20 million to repay all secured debt and retaining $25 million for growth. The move reduced its treasury from 826 BTC to 192.2 BTC but triggered a sharp rally, with shares jumping more than 160% intraday. The sale follows a wave of corporate accumulation, including top-100 treasuries reaching 1.26 million BTC, SpaceX disclosing 18,712 BTC, and smaller buys by Strive and Hyperscale Data. Earlier Fold actions in February had already released 521 BTC from collateral as part of ongoing deleveraging.
