Fifteen Bitcoin Mining Firms Back Tether's Open-Source Mining Development Kit

Tether has secured commitments from 15 Bitcoin mining firms, ASIC hardware manufacturers, and hashpower pools to build and maintain integrations for its open-source Mining Development Kit. The initiative establishes a modular interface to address interoperability challenges and simplify fleet management across fragmented mining environments. Released at version 0.11 during the Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano, the framework connects systems through modular MDK Workers and supports autonomous AI-driven agents, including Tether's operational QVAC agent. Tether aims to launch a stable version 1.0 of the software by late 2026.
