Fidelity Reports Preferred Stock Issuance Funded Purchase of 135,979 Bitcoin Through October

Perpetual preferred stock issuances have funded the cumulative purchase of 135,979 Bitcoin through October 5, according to a research report from Fidelity Digital Assets analyst Zack Wainwright. The acquired volume accounts for more than 0.5% of Bitcoin's 21 million maximum supply limit. Between March and May alone, corporate offerings mobilized over $7 billion to acquire more than 95,000 BTC. Corporate treasury strategies, including entities like Strategy and filings from Strive, raise capital via dividend-yielding preferred shares to buy Bitcoin without diluting common equity, acting as a major institutional catalyst alongside spot exchange-traded products.
