Fake GIWA Layer-2 Bridge Drains 766 Ether as DYORSWAP Reimburses Users

Decentralized exchange DYORSWAP and security researchers are tracking attackers who drained approximately 766.25 Ether, valued at over $2 million, via a counterfeit Layer-2 bridge impersonating the unreleased GIWA network. About 1,335 wallet addresses deposited 767.65 ETH after the fraudulent OP Stack setup used Chain ID 9134 and deceived DYORSWAP into recognizing it as an active mainnet. Upbit operator Dunamu and the GIWA team confirmed the genuine mainnet has not launched. DYORSWAP stated its underlying contracts were not breached and has distributed over 200 ETH from treasury reserves to compensate affected depositors.
