Eurozone September Composite PMI Reaches 41-Month High of 53.1 as Price Pressures Intensify
Eurozone private sector business activity accelerated to a 41-month high in September, with the final Composite PMI confirmed at 53.1, up from 52.0 in August. The final Services PMI matched preliminary estimates at 53.0, improving from 51.6 previously and marking its strongest performance since November. S&P Global noted broad-based expansion, with new orders expanding at the fastest pace in 41 months and GDP growth tracking around 0.4%. However, renewed inflation emerged as input costs and output charges accelerated at their sharpest rates since May, reinforcing expectations for European Central Bank policy tightening.
