EUR/JPY Hovers Near 184.50 Support as Near-Term Bias Turns Cautiously Bearish
EUR/JPY is consolidating just above 184.50 on June 9 with RSI near 62, but the near-term technical bias has shifted cautiously bearish after the pair broke below the 184.42 support pivot on June 8 following a failed three-wave corrective rally to 186.18. The cross climbed steadily from the May 11 low at 182.01, repeatedly testing and ultimately breaching the descending channel top near 185.50–186.00 before Japanese intervention warnings from Finance Minister Katayama and diplomat Kanda capped the advance at 186.18 on June 5–6. A sustained break below 183.95 would reopen a retest of 182.01, while a decisive close above 186.18 would reinstate bullish momentum toward 187.93 and ultimately 194.88 on the long-term Fibonacci projection.
