Euler notifies user of $73K in unclaimed ETH from recovery process

Euler Finance alerted a wallet owner that 32.3 ETH (roughly $73k) from its 2023 hack recovery remains unclaimed, part of an estimated 149.13 ETH spread across 1,636 eligible addresses. The funds originate from a March 13, 2023 exploit that initially drained about $197M and were later recovered via negotiations (total recovery value cited near $240M). The EulerClaims Merkle-tree contract remains open, leaving recovered assets accessible but effectively dormant until owners claim them. Separately, EtherFi is deploying $100M into Plume to back a Liquid RWA vault (25M cap) offering institutional yield on stablecoins with a current APY of ~7.25% and 70% LTV for spend collateral. Market impact: unclaimed ETH represents idle on-chain supply but is unlikely to move markets immediately; EtherFi’s $100M allocation signals ongoing institutional appetite for real-world-asset yield products and could boost demand for stablecoin deposit products and related onchain banking services.
