EU Delays Vote on Tesla's Supervised Full Self-Driving Approval to December

A European Union vote on approving Tesla's supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) system across the bloc has been delayed from October until December at the earliest. The Technical Committee on Motor Vehicles scheduled only a 25-minute discussion on the Dutch regulatory request for Article 39 authorization for its October 6 meeting rather than a decisive vote. Full EU authorization requires a qualified majority of 15 of the 27 member states, representing at least 65% of the bloc's population, following individual approvals earlier this year in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the Czech Republic.
