Ethereum Stays on Top of RWA Market as Solana Strengthens Its Position

Ethereum remains the dominant blockchain for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), especially RWA-backed lending, while Solana is the only other ecosystem showing meaningful spot trading traction. A joint CoinShares and Token Terminal report says broader crypto-native trading weakened even as tokenized asset usage expanded. From Q2 2025 to Q2 2026, aggregate spot DEX volumes fell about 70%, while RWA spot trading volumes rose roughly 220% from a small base. Over the same period, total DeFi deposits declined around 15%, but RWA deposits across lending platforms and DEXs more than tripled from $2.3 billion to $7.4 billion. Nearly 70% of all RWA deposits were on Ethereum, reinforcing its lead as the main on-chain collateral and lending ecosystem. The article is constructive for ETH adoption and network relevance despite mixed conditions in the wider DeFi market.
