Ethereum network usage reached record levels in the first half of 2026, with daily transfers climbing to 3.6 million and active wallets near 600,000. The surge follows rapid staking growth that pushed locked ETH from 35.6 million at the start of the year to nearly 39.7 million by mid-June, crossing the $100 billion threshold at a 32.7% staking ratio. Developer momentum also peaked on June 15 when lifetime contributors surpassed 1,012,824, including 232,000 active in the prior year. Despite these fundamental gains, ETH traded around $1,748 and remained down sharply in Q2.
