Ethereum Nears Its 2025 Record After A 60.6% Rally
Ethereum (ETH) has surged 60.62% since July 1st, trading near $2,492 on September 13 after rebounding from approximately $1,550 at the start of the quarter. This performance ranks as the cryptocurrency's second-best third quarter on record, trailing only the third quarter of 2025, which saw a 66.55% gain. An additional gain of approximately 3.7%, taking Ether toward $2,584 before the September 30 close, would set a new historical Q3 performance record. The rally gained strong momentum in August following an exit from the $1,850 to $1,950 consolidation range. Technical indicators show ETH trading above primary moving averages with critical support anchored at $2,350 to $2,400. Meanwhile, the $2,550 to $2,650 range represents a major resistance barrier that could dictate a path toward $3,000. Institutional accumulation has further reinforced the market structure, notably with BitMine holding 5.90 million ETH, of which 5.07 million tokens are staked, substantially tightening circulating supply.
