Ethereum ETFs Extend Ninth-Day Outflow Streak With $32.6M Exit

On May 21, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $32.58 million in net outflows, marking the ninth consecutive day of redemptions and signaling sustained institutional caution. The streak began May 11 and has now surpassed $430 million in total withdrawals, led by BlackRock’s ETHA. South Korean institutions added pressure after disclosing roughly $33 million in unrealized losses on leveraged Ether ETF positions using customer funds. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have recovered about two-thirds of prior redemptions compared with only one-third for Ether. ETH continues to trade near $2,140 below key moving averages as rising yields and muted demand weigh on price action.
