Ethereum Developers Withdraw EIP-8363 Validator Reward Burn From Hegota Upgrade

Authors have officially withdrawn Ethereum Improvement Proposal 8363 from consideration for the upcoming Hegota hard fork following widespread pushback from core developers, solo stakers, and DeFi leaders. Introduced in August by researchers including Justin Drake and Jérôme de Tychey, the 'Tapered Issuance Burn' proposed scaling burns up to 100% of validator rewards at 60.25 million staked ETH. Critics objected that the hard fork scoping process was improper for monetary changes, warning yields would drop from roughly 2.6% to 1.2%. Discussions will now shift to a dedicated consultation track running through April.
