Ethereum Prepares Glamsterdam Sepolia Activation With 200 Million Gas Limit Client Update

Ethereum developers are set to activate the Glamsterdam hard fork on the Sepolia testnet at epoch 353,024, testing an expanded 200 million gas limit to gauge network performance under higher workloads. The Prysm validator client released version 7.2.1 ahead of activation, configuring validators to automatically adopt the limit, more than triple the prior 60 million capacity. Merging the Amsterdam execution and Gloas consensus layer upgrades, Glamsterdam introduces enshrined proposer-builder separation and block-level access lists. Following Sepolia, the upgrade is scheduled to deploy on the Hoodi testnet before an eventual mainnet rollout.
