Ether Machine Cancels Merger and IPO

Ether Machine has mutually terminated its planned merger with Dynamix Corporation and canceled its planned Nasdaq IPO (ETHM) amid deteriorating market conditions. The SEC filing requires an unnamed payor to remit $50 million to Dynamix within 15 days. The collapse comes despite the firm’s prior ambitions to manage ~400,000 ETH (~$1.5bn) and $654m in private financing, including a 150,000 ETH board contribution from Jeffrey Berns. Market reaction is mixed: some downside pressure from the aborted deal and large treasury sales (Trend Research realized a $747m loss selling 651,757 ETH), but broader ETF demand remains supportive — Ethereum ETFs saw $96.4m of net inflows (April 22, 2026) while Bitcoin ETFs hit a record $335.8m — that could underpin ETH prices.
