ETH Falls Below $1,540 on $33.7M Liquidation as '7 Siblings' Buys $18M Dip
Ethereum plunged below $1,540 on June 6 after breaking the 200-week moving average amid 17 straight days of spot ETF outflows exceeding $900 million. The slide followed aggressive whale selling of over 60,000 ETH on June 2 that triggered the break below $2,000, a $1.84 billion long liquidation cascade on June 3, and the $1,814 low on June 4. Offsetting the selling pressure, large entities including Bitmine, ShapeShift-linked wallets, and “7 Siblings” accumulated tens of thousands of ETH while a newly reactivated dormant whale deposited 20,000 ETH into Aave and bought 17,826 ETH near $1,683; however, leveraged positions remain under pressure with additional liquidations looming.
