Entrée Resources Announces First Quarter 2026 Results and Provides Corporate Update

Entrée Resources reported Q1 2026 interim results and provided a corporate update focused on the transfer of the Shivee Tolgoi and Javkhlant licences to OTLLC, ongoing negotiations with the Mongolian Government on State participation, and progress on joint-venture drilling and resource modelling. Q1 operating loss was $0.7M and cash was $3.5M. Rio Tinto and OTLLC reported strong Oyu Tolgoi performance and a Lift 1 ramp plan targeting ~500k tonnes of copper/year (2028–2036), and OTLLC said Q1 copper and gold production exceeded plans by >10%. Key near-term market impacts: delays or tax/State-participation outcomes could materially postpone Shivee Tolgoi development, increasing costs and downside risk to Entrée’s cash flows and share price; positive OTLLC operational updates and an arbitration award supporting Entrée provide upside catalysts if licence transfer and tax/royalty issues are resolved.
